TravelPoint to enter the New Zealand domain
Leading Australian wholesaler TravelPoint will be introduced into the New Zealand tourism market this month as a part of a campaign focusing on promoting Australian product in New Zealand.
TravelPoint which has been operating within the Australian tourism marketplace since 1997 has a comprehensive five brochure range of Australian products.
Including touring guide, accommodation and travel hire information for visitors to Western Australian, Northern Territory, South Australia, Victoria and Tasmania, TravelPoint offers a range of pre-organised holiday packages including driving and bus tour holidays.
Managing Director of Sales and Marketing Paul Scurrah of AOT said the move to introduce the brand to New Zealand was prompted by a lack of Australian product in the market.
“We identified an opportunity to capitalise on burgeoning New Zealand niche` markets, promoting an extensive range of Australian product via the well established and experienced TravelPoint brand,” he said.
“The comprehensive brochures will boost not only the profile of Australia as a destination within the New Zealand market but also meet increasing demand within the industry for quality destinational product.”
The planned expansion is expected to diversify Australian travel product currently available in the travel market.
In conjunction with the launch of the TravelPoint brand, AOT plans to relaunch the already established Sunlover Holidays brand with a renewed focus on service improvement including a newly expanded sales team, two mobile sales executives and improved product placement.
Mr Scurrah said the introduction of TravelPoint into the New Zealand market was integral to AOT’s campaign which is focused on increasing exposure via improvements in service, offers and distribution.
“The purpose of this campaign is to promote high quality Australian product to the New Zealand tourism market and we believe both brands will contribute significantly to increased tourism traffic and a wider understanding of the services and products available from Sunlover Holidays and TravelPoint,” he said.
