Traveltek to Preview Dynamic Packaging Enhancements at Travel Technology Europe
Glasgow, UK, 21st February, 2018: Traveltek Group Ltd is poised to make major enhancements to its award-winning dynamic packaging solutions as part of its drive to improve the User Experience (UX) for its travel agency clients.
The travel technology specialist, which is already a pioneer in its field and recently won the coveted ‘World’s Leading Dynamic Packaging Solutions Provider’ title for a fourth year running at the World Travel Awards, is turning its focus from functionality to usability, and will soon unveil a range of game-changing improvements to its cruise booking platforms.
The company, which is out in force at this week’s Travel Technology Europe event at London Olympia, will be discussing its exciting UX plans with current and potential clients at the show.
It’s part of the firm’s ongoing consultation process with the travel industry, which has already led to the successful launch of Traveltek’s next-generation cruise booking solution, CruiseNX, at the end of last year.
"Our dynamic packaging solutions are world leading, but it’s time to take them to the next level and trade feedback to date has been loud and clear – agents want technology that’s easy to use and understand and to make bookings in fewer clicks. In essence, they want a B2C experience in their B2B environment," said Peter Whittle, Global Sales Director, Traveltek Group Ltd.
"Improving the User Experience boosts engagement and drives more sales and over the course of 2018, we will be revealing some game-changing enhancements to our technology that will achieve this, making the booking and packaging process more intuitive than ever before.
Whittle added: "The evolution of our technology also takes into account that it is being increasingly used by a younger demographic who are more tech savvy. Today’s travel agents are Millennials who are accustomed to performing all online tasks in just a few clicks and Traveltek is meeting the needs of this new generation with solutions that tick all the right boxes – fast, efficient and perceptive."
Traveltek’s product and UX enhancement campaign kicked off with the launch of CruiseNX in November – a next-generation platform, available for desktop and as a new B2C website journey that was developed in partnership with some of Traveltek’s major clients.
From a more streamlined cruise booking process and the ability to book multiple ship cabins in one search journey, to fast filtering that helps agents find the ideal cruise based on their customer’s preferences and profile, Traveltek, through its CruiseNX platform, is already transforming the way the industry sells cruise.
Other features range from enhanced ‘manage my booking’ options and advanced destination search criteria to price-range sliders and powerful filter options by price, cruise line benefits and other criteria, to name a few.
"When you combine the multiple enhancements CruiseNX delivers with our unrivalled content, dynamic packaging tool with flight and hotel options that creates unique itineraries, plus multi-currency and multi-language capabilities to offer global coverage, we are taking a major leap forward in helping the industry drive more cruise sales via all distribution channels," said Whittle.
"The next logical step is to look at how we can apply this next-gen model across all of our leisure booking platforms."
Traveltek’s dynamic packaging technology enables agents and tour operators to handpick every facet of a customised travel itinerary, from flights and hotels to transfers and car rental – and then sell them as single packages.
