TSA hiring 6,000 to meet summer travel demand
The Transportation Security Administration is feeling confident an air travel rebound could be just around the corner. Air travel has been sluggish for nearly an entire year but the TSA is expecting a summer bump in traveler numbers.
The agency is looking to hire more than 6,000 airport screening officers by the summer ‘based on anticipated seasonal travel trends.’ By then, the US hopes to have enough vaccine supply for most of the general public.
