TUI adds ChatGPT to mobile app
TUI is adding ChatGPT AI capability to its mobile app.
It is testing the potential of generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) with the launch of a first pilot on the TUI app in the UK.
The new feature provides informative responses about holiday destinations and personalised recommendations.
Subject the level of detail the customer provides, the app will provide a more refined and relevant shortlist of descriptions, images and links for suggested experiences.
These include culinary activities, adventure excursions, or museum visits.
Customers can then book experiences directly on tuiexperiences.com via the app.
“ChatGPT technology can help to simplify processes for customers or make information more easily available,” says Sebastian Ebel, TUI Group CEO.
“Our goal is to be a leader in the use of new technologies and to actively shape the future of tourism.”
Adding ChatGPT is part of an initiative to implement AI features across all areas of the TUI business.
An internal TUI AI Lab has been established to drive the initiative.
ChatGPT training has recently been introduced.
Further trials are also underway using generative AI tools, including post-holiday customer communication, and content language translation.
TUI says no customer data is being shared at any time.

How are you enduring that AI will give accurate information? I have seen some very plausible AI scripts with major inaccuracies.
