TUI outlines vision of future
Mobile phones which can download information from websites and children’s play areas on flights will be a reality for future holidaymakers, according to TUI.
Outlining the vision for the newly-combined Thomson and First Choice operation, new media director Graham Donoghue said travellers of tomorrow would be able to transfer information from convention brochures to mobile phones, to help them make a decision about where to go on holiday.
Meanwhile, it is also considering new innovations for Boeing 787 Dreamliners, to be used in the combined Thomsonfly and First Choice fleet in 2009.
It claimed children’s play areas, ice-cream makers and virtual reality tours were all being considered for use on the aircraft.
Chile, Borne, Argentina, Hawaii and Australia could all become more accessible via direct flights.
