Turkish Airlines is adding more Manchester flights to Istanbul to meet increased passenger demand.

Türkiye’s flag carrier will now operate a fourth flight from 19 May, which increases the number of weekly flights to and from Manchester to 25 during the peak summer season.

The airline currently has three daily Manchester flights to Istanbul, with the four additional services (one per day) operating every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

Manchester GM, Serhat Gök, said: “Turkish Airlines’ four additional weekly flights to Istanbul will meet the expected rise in demand to visit Türkiye’s top tourism destination.”

“Istanbul is incredibly popular with British and European travellers.”

Additionally, Turkish Airlines also announced extra flights on key routes from Istanbul to other UK cities.

For summer 2024, four extra flights per week will be added on the Birmingham to Istanbul route, and a further four additional flights from London Gatwick to Istanbul.

This sees the carrier operate 112 weekly flights between London and Istanbul.

In Scotland, three additional weekly flights will operate between Edinburgh and Istanbul for summer 2024.

The carrier also operates seven weekly summer flights between London Gatwick and Antalya.
