Turkish Airlines to launch low cost carrier brand in 2024
Turkish Airlines has unveiled new, wholly-owned low cost carrier brand called AJet.
It will start operating to the UK from the end of March 2024.
The rebranded low-cost carrier, originally called AnadoluJet, was established in 2008 to improve air transport links for Anatolia.
It will operate under the ‘AJet Air Transportation Inc.’ name as a wholly-owned subsidiary.
Prof. Dr. Ahmet Bolat, Turkish Airlines Chairman, said: “In line with our goals for the next 10 years, we are proud to have started the establishment process of AJet.
“We believe AJet, with its new name, will become an important part of the low-cost aviation industry.”
AJet will fly out of Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen and Ankara Esenboğa Airports from March 2024.
It will offer an all-economy service.
