US approves JetBlue – British Airways airline codeshare
The US Department of Transportation has approved the proposed airline codeshare agreement between JetBlue and British Airways.
The application was filed in May and now has the US green light.
The airlines are approved to codeshare on connecting flights between the US and Europe.
“With the new codeshare, customers will be able to seamlessly book a single ticket for travel on both airlines, providing an expanded network of destinations across Europe,” JetBlue said.
The airline codeshare will initially encompass 75 domestic flights from New York and Boston operated by JetBlue and 17 flights from London across Europe operated by BA.
After the pandemic, JetBlue launched its first transatlantic services and now counts London Heathrow and Gatwick airports, Amsterdam, Paris, Dublin and Edinburgh on its route network.
