Vietnam Airlines lands in Manila
Flag carrier Vietnam Airlines has launched direct Manila flights from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
It is the first Vietnamese airline to open direct flights to the Philippines capital.
The Hanoi – Manila route will operate three flights a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
Manila flights from Ho Chi Minh City operate four times a week.
Both routes will be served by Airbus A321s offering Economy and Business class cabins.
Vietnam Airlines says the new Manila flights will help promote economic, cultural and tourism exchanges between Vietnam and the Philippines as well across Southeast Asia region.
Also, UK travelers can fly the only UK-Vietnam nonstop route to Vietnam, with onward connections via Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to multiple destinations throughout Vietnam, Asia, and Australasia.
Return economy fares from London Heathrow to Manila start from £677 per person, including taxes/surcharges.
