Vietnam Airlines launching Phnom Penh flights from Hanoi
Vietnam Airlines has unveiled upcoming Phnom Penh flights from Hanoi.
Additionally, the flag has inked cooperation agreements with partners in Cambodia to boost aviation and tourism development.
The new route is set to begin on 27 October 2024, with four flights a week on Mondays; Wednesdays; Fridays; and Sundays.
The airline will deploy Airbus A321 aircraft on the Phnom Penh flights.
Currently passengers flying from Hanoi to Phnom Penh must transit through Vientiane, Laos.
This new route will bring Vietnam Airlines’ total number of routes between Vietnam and Cambodia to five.
The airline has existing Phnom Penh flights from Ho Chi Minh City.
The total number of flights between the two countries will reach 86 per week.
The Vietnam – Cambodia route was among the first to be operated by Vietnam Airlines 31 years ago.
Dang Ngoc Hoa, Chairman of Vietnam Airlines, said: “The new nonstop service is poised to deliver better connectivity between Vietnam and Cambodia.”
We will continue to expand our network and improve competitiveness and service quality.”
Vietnam Airlines signed a MoU with Cambodia Angkor Air, the Cambodia Tourism Association, and SaigonTourist Group.
This agreement will help to enhance bilateral tourism promotion, with joint marketing efforts and collaboration on aviation products and services.
