Visit USA Association Hails membership growth
Visit USA Association (UK) is lauding a hugely successful 2023-24 membership year, with a gradual return to pre-pandemic levels.
Since 1 July 2023, 26 new companies have joined which is a healthy +15% on the same period last year.
The membership growth is a mix of returning members who are rejoining post pandemic, new tour operator and destination members and for the first-time in a decade, DMCs and travel agency members.
Julie Greenhill, Chair at Visit USA (UK) said “The Visit USA Association is excellent value for members. We are excited that first Barrhead Travel and now Hays Travel have joined the association as travel agency members.”
“They are looking forward to reaching out to their travel agency staff to promote and sell the US. “
“Destination management companies will assist themed specialist tour operators looking for new destinations for their clients.”
Visit USA has launched a new affiliate business partner scheme which has been well received as an opportunity for partner brands to join and to network with members.
The association is now busy planning its campaigns for 2024.
This will include the launch of its Travel Planner which will return to a print guide this year, alongside the digital version.
The planner will be available on the Visit USA website from 3 January 2024 and will be distributed at the Destinations Show in Manchester and London in the new year.
Kate Kenward, CEO at Visit USA (UK) added “This growth in our membership will offer consumers even more variety and inspiration when planning their US holiday.”
The US remains the number one long-haul destination for Brits and our members are continuing to see a strong booking trend for 2024.”
