VisitBritain partners with National Lottery to boost domestic tourism
VisitBritain has joined forces with The National Lottery to promote domestic tourism days out.
They aim to get more Brits to visit attractions this summer.
The promotion offers £25 toward visits to hundreds of top attractions across the UK.
From 3 July through 30 September, the UK-wide promotion lets National Lottery players redeem a free £25 voucher against entry tickets.
It is valid when they enter their National Lottery game reference number on the VisitBritain Shop at NationalLotteryDaysOut.com.
It is available for hundreds of participating domestic tourism attractions.
Tourism Minister John Whittingdale said: “Thanks to the National Lottery Days Out Scheme, it is even easier to enjoy Britain’s historic destinations for less.”
“I encourage lottery players to support good causes and local tourism.”
As a campaign partner, VisitBritain wants to drive future sales through its Tourism Exchange Great Britain (TXGB) platform and the VisitBritain Shop.
It aims to reach more domestic and international customers.
The campaign is also being supported across VisitBritain and VisitEngland’s channels including newsletters, social media and website content.
VisitBritain CEO Patricia Yates said: “This timely promotion will support the wonderful visitor attractions and experiences on our doorstep.”
