What’s new on Florida’s Paradise Coast

Florida’s Paradise Coast has a host of new attractions, experiences and hotels to get excited about.

There are several new hotels in Naples coinciding with the reopening of The Ritz-Carlton Naples and LaPLaya Beach and Golf Resort, providing more options than ever.

Add to this new and returning art events and a new amusement park to keep all the family entertained.

Here is a round-up of all things new in 2024.

 

HOTELS

Opening soon

Compass by Margaritaville Hotel Naples 

Taking bookings from February 2024, Compass by Margaritaville Hotel Naples is an all-suite boutique property featuring 120 fully equipped guest rooms. The property will include amenities such as the “Sunrise at Compass” complimentary breakfast buffet, Welcome Cabana with daily light snacks and refreshments, 5 o’Clock Somewhere Bar & Grill, and The Backyard with a pool, live entertainment, backyard games, and more. 

 

Great Wolf Lodge – opening October 2024

Naples will officially welcome the Great Wolf Lodge in October 2024. The resort will feature 500 family-friendly suites and an expansive 100,000-square-feet indoor water park that includes slides, raft rides, an activity pool and splash areas. Families can enjoy the Great Wolf Adventure Park entertainment centre as well as an array of dining options. As part of the “Project Green Wolf” initiative, the resort will feature several energy and water conservation measures including energy-saving LED lighting and custom water filters.

 

Recently opened 

LaPlaya Beach and Golf Resort 

The luxury LaPlaya Beach and Golf Resort is open with fully renovated rooms and suites, welcoming visitors and locals back to the popular resort, Baleen restaurant and popular SpaTerre Naples.

AC Hotel Naples 5th Avenue 

In December 2023, the brand’s signature Perfectly Precise Hotel experience opened in the heart of Old Naples. AC Hotel Naples has three stories at a prominent intersection along the city’s unofficial Main Street. AC Hotel Naples comprises: 150 sleek guest rooms, a ground-floor café and lobby, a rooftop pool, 2,500 square feet of meeting space and Limón, a destination rooftop restaurant.

 

The Ritz-Carlton, Naples 
The Ritz-Carlton, Naples reopened in 2023 with a stunning new lobby and Lobby Bar, an expansive Ritz-Carlton Club Lounge, and three new dining outlets. There is also a redesigned pool experience and 92 newly designed guest rooms. Following the transformation, the hotel has once again received the AAA Five Diamond designation for 2023 and 2024.

The Capri Inn 
Formerly Trianon Old Naples, and now part of the Opal Collection, this has been fully reimagined, with immaculately furnished accommodations, oversized bathrooms, and terraces or balconies. A private cottage for guests seeking the most spacious and secluded accommodation has also undergone a complete renovation and includes two bedrooms with its own private gated entrance.

 

EVENTS

¡ARTE VIVA! 
¡ARTE VIVA! is a yearlong celebration of hispanic art and culture through exhibitions, performances, music and more. This year’s lineup includes Arts Alive! gatherings every Thursday at Naples Art District, a medley of outdoor art festivals and other activities. Season 2 of ¡ARTE VIVA! is taking place at locations such as The Naples Zoo, the Gulfshore Playhouse and Naples Botanical Garden amongst many others. The Face of Immokalee – until 15 April 2024

The Face of Immokalee is a public art installation, created by Naples based Michelle Tricca, which aims to champion the Immokalee community through a series of boldly displayed black and white photographic portraits. It is displayed on two 50′ long walls and two 53′ long semi-trailer trucks owned by Immokalee based Lipman Family Farms, one of the nation’s largest produce growers. The exhibition is open to the public until 15 April 2024.

ATTRACTIONS

Big Corkscrew Island Regional Park Aquatic Complex
Florida’s Paradise Coast’s newest aquatic complex opened its doors to the public on 2 October 2023. Perfect for adults and children alike, the complex boasts exciting amenities such as a 177-feet open slide and a 122-feet closed slide, a family pool with interactive features, a heated competition pool, as well as 1-metre and 3-metre diving boards.
