Italy is represented in its entirety, from north to south, confirming BIT as the leading marketplace for Italian products. This spans the open-air tourism in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, to Veneto, where art and nature merge, and Umbria, an oasis of peace and tradition. Abruzzo boasts breath-taking scenery, while Lombardy combines modernity and tradition. Sicily offers a mix of culture, history and food, as does Piedmont. The renewed focus on internationalisation is reflected with the presence of unique foreign destinations, ranging from the Indian Ocean to the Caribbean Sea, including Cuba, Barbados and Sri Lanka. There are important new additions, such as the Central American Tourism Agency, which represents Belize, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama and the Dominican Republic. Then there is the fascinating Mongolia; Jordan, rich in history, and the magical Egypt; Japan, China and the city of Tokyo are back. Fascinating European destinations include Albania, Croatia and Slovenia. Airlines and the cruise world are well represented with the participation of major names such as ITA Airways, Eva Airways, Trenitalia, Trenord, MSC Crociere and Cruiseline. Among the tour operators and associations present will be Gattinoni, FTO-Turismo Organizzato, Federcongressi&eventi and ASTOI. Attractions and leading names in the hotel industry include Gardaland, NH Milano Congress Centre (MINOR Hotels), A&O HOTELS and HOSTELS Holding GmbH. But BIT Milano is not just a marketplace, it is also a space for meetings and dialogue aimed at predicting data and trends and providing strategic and practical tools for professional growth. Thanks to the exclusive format of the Bringing Innovation Into Travel events, organised by Business International, Fiera Milano's Knowledge Unit, all the players in the supply chain – associations, specialised publishers and companies – will be able to discuss the major sector trends. Italy's leader and one of the leading globally integrated operators in the trade fair and congress sector will host the next edition of the trade fair, now in its 44th year, from 4 to 6 February 2024 at the Allianz MiCo, in the heart of Milan, the European capital of innovation and a central attraction hub. In addition to the numerous participation of Italian regions, which in recent years have been able to promote their territories to the foreign buyers attending the event, thus intercepting new incoming flows - Friuli-Venezia Giulia with its new “Slow Tourism” proposals, and Basilicata with its innovative projects for the promotion of the area stand out -, there are also many participants from abroad, confirming BIT as an international trade fair. Among others, major returns emerge from China, Japan and Tokyo City, then Barbados, Cuba, Tunisia, Jordan. While Italians represent an important part of outbound tourism - as also confirmed by Japan, which in August 2023 recorded as many as 24,000 Italian visitors compared to 22,800 in 2019 - Italy is one of the most attractive destinations for international travelers, due to its culture, fashion, food and wine, and the unique “made in Italy” style. In fact, according to forecasts made by the China Outbound Tourism Research Institute published by the European Travel Commission, some two million China nationals are expected to visit Italy at the end of this year. After all, China reopened its borders to incoming and outgoing travel in March 2023, and is re-launching new tourist promotion policies; this year, the Chinese Ministry of Culture and Tourism launched a new slogan and logo to boost the Chinese destination around the world, with the slogan “NiHao!China”, which means “Welcome to China”. On the MICE front, the presence of MINOR Hotels, owner of the NH brand, an international reference point in the hotel industry for its innovative and cutting-edge approach to create complete travel-experiences, has been confirmed; with immersive and tailor-made stays, attention to sustainability and care for travel, the brand now has a solid grip on the national market and is confidently looking to the international market. Among private individuals, Gardaland, a leader in the amusement park sector, MSC Crociere, ITA AIRWAYS and FLY DUBAI stand out among carriers, while ASTOI and FTO are prominent among associations. BIT2024 will also be an opportunity for Italian and international organizations, associations, professionals, and all keen travelers to discover the wonders of Italy and the world, to explore, learn about, and share the latest trends and changes in an ever-evolving industry. The Bringing Innovation Into Travel format, a rich program of conferences organized according to three main themes - trends, innovation and sustainability will also be held with the support of Business International. Also getting ready is the packed schedule of the Bringing Innovation Into Travel event area "If you travel, it shows." This is the catchy slogan of the new communication campaign for the 2023 edition of BIT - Borsa Internazionale del Turismo, which will be held at fieramilanocity from Sunday, February 12 to Tuesday, February 14, 2023. Created by the creative team of the Le Dictateur Studio agency, the new advertising campaign is part of a three-year strategic communication plan with increasing internationalization among its primary goals. A goal that the new communication wants to achieve thanks to a high-impact visual and message that can create powerful images with a universally recognized symbol of international travel. In fact, the inspiration comes from the graphic layout of passports and, specifically, the image of the stamps of the countries visited. Each new stamp in the passport represents a new country, a new experience, in a visual summary of travels that have left their mark, on the passport as well as on us. An effect that the campaign's visual approach interprets through powerful, multi-ethnic and inclusive images of women and men travelers living their experiences, literally "on their skin". Traditional advertising will be joined by a social media campaign under the hashtag #seviaggisivede. Also revamped in content is the website, which is filled with a selection in browsable PDF format of the most interesting articles about the event published in the media. With the new campaign focused on the more human and personal side of travel, BIT 2023 reinforces its positioning as a leader among tourism events in Italy thanks to its focus on sustainability and more conscious forms of tourism - from slow tourism to walking, cycling tourism, small villages and local cultures in both the Italian regions and cities, and international destinations. The BIT team is working on new features for the 2023 edition.
