Hospitality management software provider Cloudbeds has inked its strategic partnership with Lighthouse (formerly OTA Insight), a leading travel data platform. The hotel data partnership is poised to bring added value to both Cloudbeds' and Lighthouse's customers. Lighthouse helps transform complex data into user-friendly market insights. It serves a network of over 65,000 hotels across 185 countries. Lighthouse enables hoteliers to maximize revenue growth by leveraging data-backed market intelligence with real-time data from multiple sources, all on one platform. "We are thrilled to join forces with Lighthouse. We aim to enhance the capabilities of our platform and empower hoteliers with advanced analytics and insights," said Sebastien Leitner, VP of Partnerships at Cloudbeds. • State of Independent Lodging Report from Cloudbeds highlights trends for the UK’s ‘overlooked’ independent accommodation sector.

  Cloudbeds, the hospitality management platform powering more reservations and happier guests for lodging businesses around the globe, today highlighted further trends relevant for the UK’s ‘overlooked’ independent properties based on its recently published State of Independent Lodging Report.   Looking at data taken from thousands of independent properties globally powered by Cloudbeds, the report notes that the ADRs of hostels globally have not recovered quite as strongly as hotels post-COVID. For example, average hostel ADRs in Q4 2019 were $43 per night and in Q4 2022 they’d risen to $46, whilst hotels went from $100 to $120 during the same period.   Meanwhile the report also notes that European independent properties have the highest OTA to direct distribution ratio – at around 75% – compared to just 44% in North America, 61% in APAC and 55% in LATAM.   Additionally the report highlights that weekends are the busiest period for independent hotels around the world, with 36% of all check-ins made on either a Friday or Saturday, and the exact same amount of check-outs on either a Sunday or Monday.   The full report – whose first installment was launched recently and will be released annually – includes many other insights relevant to the UK’s independent accommodation space and can be downloaded here: cloudbeds.com/hospitality-industry-report   “The UK’s independent accommodation space is too often overlooked for the glamour of big chains and this is the same when it comes to looking for valuable data that independent hoteliers can use to make crucial decisions – so we decided to use our global customer base of independent properties to collect and analyse that data for the benefit of customers everywhere.
