It is the option granted under the earlier order announced this summer. Similar to its sister ships, the 690-passenger, 61,800-gross-ton ship will feature a promenade extending through the whole ship's perimetre, similar to those on Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity. The new ship will house a variety of dining options, including Umi Uma, the only Nobu at sea as well as Beefbar. Crystal will continue offering exclusive entertainment along with Casino de Monte-Carlo which is set to debut on Crystal Symphony this month and Crystal Serenity in December. The new ship will feature all-suite accommodations with private verandas, including a single occupancy category for solo travelers. Cristina Levis, CEO of A&K Travel Group, said, "We're pleased to bring an expanded fleet to our guests, offering even more ways to explore the world." It comes two years after A&K Travel Group acquired Crystal in 2022. It will bolster support for trade partners and achieve strategic growth in the UK and across Europe. Danny Giles, Regional Sales Manager North: joined Crystal on 14 October as part of the UK sales team. He has spent 20 years in the travel industry, 14 of which have been in luxury and expedition cruising. He will play a pivotal role in driving trade sales performance and expanding the market presence of Crystal across Scotland, North of England and Ireland. His main focus will be revitalising and building strong connections with Crystal's travel partners new and old. He reports to Stephen Joyner, Crystal's Senior Sales Manager UK & Ireland. Stefan Nicodemus, Regional Sales Manager Northern Europe: will be joining Crystal's EMEA sales team on 1 November with responsibility for driving trade sales performance and expanding market presence in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Benelux and Scandinavia. He has spent more than 30 years working in the travel industry, including 23 years with Hapag-Lloyd Cruises. His focus will be developing strong relationships with trade partners across Northern and Middle Europe. Stefan will report to Michael Steffl, Crystal's Director Trade Sales EMEA. Ryan Bishop, Regional Sales Manager South. Ryan joined Crystal on 23rd September as part of the UK sales team. He brings a decade of luxury cruising experience, most recently serving as a cruise director for Seabourn and Viking. Having travelled to every corner of the globe, Ryan has an in-depth understanding of the cruise industry and will play a pivotal role in driving trade sales performance and expanding the market presence of Crystal within his region. His focus will be on revitalising and building strong connections with Crystal’s travel partners - new and old - across the South of England. Ryan will report in to Stephen Joyner, Crystal’s Senior Sales Manager UK & Ireland. Ana Torres, Inside Sales Executive UK & EMEA. Originally from Spain, Ana joined Crystal on 23rd September. She spent the last few years working in sales co-ordination for a luxury hotel collection where she provided global sales support, focusing on trade marketing, CRM management and client relationships. During her career, she has worked in roles within high-end retail and premium co-working spaces which has given her a well-rounded perspective on customer service and sales. With Ana joining, it brings the London-based Inside Sales team to a total of three. Ana will provide comprehensive support of the reservation system and CRM, and will collaborate with and provide level 2 support for key account partners and General Sales Agents (GSAs). She will work closely with the various teams within the cruise line to promote available resources and monitor ROI on efforts, and will be an integral part of the greater sales team that look after Crystal’s trade partners. Michael Steffl, Director of Sales EMEA. Michael joined Crystal on 1st September and is responsible for Continental Europe, Middle East and Africa trade sales distribution. Having spent more than 20 years with Hapag-Lloyd Cruises, he has deep rooted international cruise distribution and brings a wealth of knowledge and relationships which will help position Crystal amongst various key sellers within his regions. Matias Lira, Crystal’s SVP Trade Sales LATAM, UK & EMEA, comments: “In June we announced our plan to expand our sales presence within the UK & EMEA. We believe that providing our advisor community with personalised one-to-one support is the key to expanding and growing these regions with incredible opportunity to experience Crystal. It comes after a 'try before you buy' promotion. Mundy invited past guests to take a short taster cruise prior to committing to a full cruise in 2024. It says 68% of guests on the taster cruise rebooked on board, with others were planning to finalise their 2024 cruises on their return to the UK. Mundy Cruising also kickstarted sales for 2025 with World Cruise bookings. There was a high level of interest in the new Junior Crystal Penthouse category which were part of the extensive refit earlier this year. There have been overwhelmingly positive reports from guests on board Crystal Serenity and Crystal Symphony over the summer. Mundy Cruising MD Edwina Lonsdale said: "After the heartbreak of Crystal Cruises' collapse in 2022, we were of course cautious about embracing the new company.” “But it is back, and better than ever, and we are delighted to have got off to a great start." -

According to Christina Levis, CEO of parent A&K Travel Group, four new vessels will join the fleet by 2029. It comprises two expedition cruise ships and two classic ships. “Our aim is to have four new builds by the end of 2029. We are dividing ourselves between the refurbishments and the new builds.” “We aim at starting construction of one expedition ship and one classic ship by Q2 next year.” Expedition ships will accommodate around 220 passengers while the classic ships will have capacity for 650 guests. Levis gave the updates during a test launch of Crystal Serenity. This is the first Crystal ship to relaunch following the takeover by Abercrombie & Kent. Crystal Symphony is also relaunching. Crystal Serenity cruises begin soon. A&K has spent $150 million on a comprehensive refurbishment.
