The Phnom Penh flight is via Singapore. The resumption expands Emirates Far East network to 21 destinations, and Singapore operations to four daily flights. This week’s newly added service from Singapore was commemorated in the airline’s dedicated Airport Lounge with a ceremony in the presence of local dignitaries and airline executives. A three class Boeing 777-300ER aircraft is deployed on the route, which includes eight private suites in First Class and 42 lie flat seats in Business Class. Emirates’ daily Phnom Penh flights from Dubai depart at 0230hrs, arriving in Singapore at 1405hrs. The flight then departs Singapore at 1535hrs for Phnom Penh. It includes 30 new routes including Riyadh, Jeddah, Delhi, Mumbai and Kuala Lumpur offering the service from this week. More than 10,000 preorders have already been delivered on over 3,000 flights. More than 600 meal preorders are made by Emirates customers daily. The new service allows passengers in Business Class to preselect their main course between 14 days and 24 hours in advance of their flight departure. This ensures they get their preferred choice and help to reduce food wastage. Among the most popular preorder dishes so far are pan-fried beef tenderloin with thyme jus, roasted new potato wedges and steamed asparagus. Also popular is Suffolk roasted chicken with black garlic and potato fondant. The top breakfast dish so far is cheddar cheese and chive omelette with creamy spinach and Portobello mushrooms. Passengers can browse the onboard menu on Emirates.com or on the Emirates app to choose their dishes. Cabin crew use Apple devices to view the inflight meal preordered and serve the passenger their choice of dish. The preordering meal service is complemented by website check-in and app check-in. -

Between June and August, it is carrying over 14 million passengers with average seat load factors exceeding 80% In the coming months, Emirates’ booking trends show similar demand for international travel across its network. Dubai holidays remained popular, even during the summer months with two million customers travelling to the airline’s hub. Top inbound markets to Dubai on Emirates during this period included the UK, India, Germany, China and Kuwait. Over 35% on Dubai holidays were families, staying an average of over two weeks. This winter season, the airline forecasts another spike in demand to Dubai with a calendar of big ticket sporting events planned. Dubai has already welcomed more than 8.5 million international visitors in the first six months of 2023, up by more than a million on the same time last year. Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Chief Commercial Officer said: "Travel demand across our network has been strong and resilient despite rising cost-of-living pressures.” “We’re happy to see strong customer preference for our product in all cabin classes, especially in our premium cabins.” From June to August, the airline operated nearly 50,000 flights to and from 140 cities, carrying over 14 million passengers. -

Emirates landed again Denpasar this week as demand grows in line with eased travel restrictions. A water cannon salute inaugurated the airline’s return followed by a cake cutting ceremony. The resumption of Emirates’ services to Bali, comes as the carrier ramps up global operations. Emirates flight EK398 departs Dubai at 09:10, landing in Bali at 21:29. The return flight EK399 departs Bali at 00:05, arriving Dubai at 05:00 hrs. The airline is currently operating five-weekly services, and will scale up to daily service starting from 1 July 2022. Tickets can be booked on emirates.com and the Emirates app. Customers travelling from Dubai can take advantage of the contactless biometric path at Dubai International for a quicker journey through the airport with minimum to no human interaction.
