Explore Worldwide has already exceeded its 2018-19 final results, just six months into its financial year. The milestone comes following a record-breaking January, which included the biggest day of sales in its 40 year history. In the first full year unaffected by Covid since 2019, Explore will not only return to pre-pandemic levels but easily exceed them. MD Michael Edwards said "We knew 2023 was going to be a big year. We also know that being the operator people could trust throughout the pandemic has stood us in good stead." The greatest gains have been in Explore's walking programme, up 41% on 2019 and European holidays, up a huge 67% on 2019. The three fastest-growing trips of the year so far have been Cycle the Dalmatian Coast, Simply Japan and Toubkal climb, up 406%, 366% and 319% respectively. Explore's financial year runs from 1 November – 31 October. Increased investment in overseas markets, including a new office for Australia and New Zealand, and a focus on trade business. Travel agent business now represents 16% of Explore's bookings. Explore offers over 350 trips in around 100 countries.

Adventure tour operator Explore Worldwide announced its agents' concession scheme is returning for 2023.  It recognises and rewards travel agent partners by offering 50% off all of its small group tours once agents make their first booking . As well as half-price small group tours, they save 25% for one companion travelling with the booking agent, and 20% for all accompanying children on family tours.
