The airline said there were no reported injuries. The plane had arrived from Seattle. Hawaiian Airlines say it was likely caused by an issue with the aircraft’s brakes. There was no other damage to the plane, which was carrying 173 passengers. However, it had to be towed to the gate, causing a short runway closure. The plane has been taken out of service for extensive checks. ”Hawaiian Airlines’ flight HA29 experienced an issue with its brakes upon arrival into OGG. The pilots were able to bring the aircraft to a complete stop on the runway surface, and the aircraft was towed to the gate,” Hawaiian Air said in a statement. It only caused slight disruption with one flight diverted to Honolulu.Related News Stories: Alaska Air receives further compensation from Boeing over 737 Max ...
