Hays Travel branch managers from across the North East region, and head office colleagues, are in Turkey for Hays Travel’s annual Overseas Retail Conference in Antalya this week. Their travel was supported by headline sponsor and long-term partner Jet2holidays. The flight was one of four specially chartered planes heading to the destination for the conference taking place until 15 November. Flights also departed from Manchester, Birmingham and Bristol airports. “Our overseas conference is a highlight of the year – it’s when we can connect with our branch managers from across the UK all under one roof, to thank them for their excellent work,” said Dame Irene Hays. “I am very grateful to Jet2holidays for their amazing support, and to the whole team at Newcastle International Airport – as well as Birmingham, Bristol, and Manchester.” Alan Cross, Director of Travel Agent Relationships at Jet2holidays said: “We are delighted to help our partner, Hays Travel Group, get their conference off to the best of starts.” Hays Travel will welcome over 700 delegates to the Ela Excellence Resort Belek, Turkiye, for its annual Overseas Retail Conference. It offers trips to 57 sun and leisure city destinations now available to book from across all 12 of the companies’ UK airports. Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have extended next summer on Croatia’s Istrian Coast thanks to strong  customer demand. The airline and tour operator have added more flights from three UK airports, extending the season to Pula and the Istrian Coast right through to 18 October 2025. It marks an immediate response after introducing it for summer 2025. Additional flights are now on sale Birmingham with twice weekly flights (Monday and Friday) added between 6 and 17 October 2025 From Manchester there are now twice weekly flights (Monday and Thursday) added between 6 and 16 October 2025. From London Stansted weekly Saturday flights are added on 11 and 18 October 2025. Jet2.com will operate flights to Pula and the Istrian Coast from the three UK airports from May 1 next year, with five weekly services operating throughout the summer. In addition to flights, customers seeking a package holiday to Pula and the Istrian Coast with Jet2holidays can choose from a wide selection of villas and hotels, from 3 to 5-stars in resorts such as Porec, Rovinj, Umag, Novigrad, Pula, Medulin, Vrsar and Rabac. Jet2Villas has added a brand-new destination - Costa Verde in Northern Portugal.  The expansion sees Jet2’s villa holidays division add a range of properties on sale across the coastal region of Costa Verde which is also known as the Minho Green Coast - for the rest of summer 2024, as well as summer 2025. A wide choice of individual villas are now available in six resort areas including Caminha, Paredes de Coura, Barcelos, Viana do Castelo, Ponte de Lima and Esposende. Located in the northwest corner of Portugal, Costa Verde features sandy beaches and picturesque coastal towns. Known as the Green Coast, it is a 100km stretch of coastline running from the River Minho and the border with Spain, right down to the River Douro in Porto. As a relatively undiscovered part of Northern Portugal, it makes for a peaceful holiday destination. It also has rich history, from Iron Age settlements to military fortresses and churches. Customers booking a villa holiday to Costa Verde with Jet2Villas will fly to Porto Airport with Jet2.com. A hire car is included as part of a Jet2Villas package holiday. Flights to Porto Airport from Manchester Airport with Jet2.com operate twice a week until 17 November 2024. Foe summer 2025, there are Jet2 flights from both Manchester and Birmingham Airports. Jet2.com and Jet2holidays just launched a new destination in Italy. It marks Jet2’s ninth airport in Italy, with flights and holidays via Amalfi Coast (Salerno) Airport on sale for summer 2025. The tour operator has also put a range of hotels on sale across the Amalfi Coast, as well as introducing the port city of Salerno as a brand-new resort for Jet2holidays. Amalfi Coast flights are available from Birmingham and Manchester airports. Aiming to keep pace with demand, Jet2CityBreaks has expanded its Discover More city breaks collection to Marrakech and Krakow. The operator is offering Discover More getaways to Marrakech inclusive of a tour of the historic city, as well as Krakow city breaks with an Auschwitz tour included. Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have extended the summer 2024 season to Bodrum, due to continued customer demand. The airline and tour operator have added more Turkey flights from four UK bases offering Bodrum holidays right through to mid-November. The company says Jet2.com and Jet2holidays are the only companies to operate to Bodrum beyond early November from outside London. The additional flights on sale now are three times a week from London Stansted and Manchester and twice weekly from Birmingham and Leeds Bradford. Jet2.com and Jet2holidays are already operating to Bodrum from 11 UK airports this summer. This includes new routes from Belfast International and Liverpool John Lennon Airport. This offers a wide choice of Bodrum holidays as well as packages in Altinkum, Gumbet and Bitez. Travel tech firm Dolphin Dynamics has introduced a new tool streamlining bookings made via the Jet2holidays trade website. The new module improves efficiency, data quality and accuracy for travel agents. The Dolphin back-office platform captures package holiday details including flights, transfers and hotel information. This latest functionality was developed with the support of Jet2holidays and the participation of three of Dolphin’s long-standing retail customers: Millington Travel, Baldwins Travel and Dawson & Sanderson. Dolphin users can easily capture bookings made on Jet2holidays’ dedicated trade website and minimise risk of manual entry errors. Using the booking capture module, data is loaded within seconds, integrating the necessary vendor details into the Dolphin platform. The tool is also capable of recapturing bookings that have been cancelled or modified, including changes to dates or room types. Guy Fletcher, Sales & Marketing Director at Millington Travel, said: "I’m pleased with how quickly this new functionality was implemented and the overwhelmingly positive feedback from our sales staff."
