The Regent and Rocky Mountaineer Experience features two days of all-inclusive GoldLeaf Service, from Banff to Vancouver. Once in Vancouver, guests will board Seven Seas Explorer for a seven-night all-inclusive Alaska cruise to Seward. "The Rocky Mountaineer experience is the perfect complement to our destination-immersive adventures in Alaska," said Andrea DeMarco, President of Regent Seven Seas Cruises. "Regent's unique unlimited shore excursions offer unrivalled opportunities for exploration. We are excited to offer this land program, beginning May 2025." The six-night land program to Vancouver, allows travelers to explore the Canadian Rockies including Banff. It includes a full-day tour of Yoho National Park. As a family-owned business, Rocky Mountaineer welcomes Tristan Armstrong, son of Founder Peter Armstrong, as new chief executive officer. "Rocky Mountaineer is a life-long passion for both me and my family. So to become the CEO and build on this family legacy is truly an honour," said Tristan Armstrong. "I look forward to being even more involved in connecting with our partners, and delivering an exceptional service for our guests." The younger Armstrong has served on the Board of Directors since 2016. He previously worked in numerous roles on Rocky Mountaineer's operations and guest experience teams, gaining experience in guest service, maintenance, and hospitality. He is also the president and CEO of Major Rock Corporation, a family office operated by the Armstrong family. It includes businesses in the hospitality, real estate and private equity sectors. "Tristan's appointment demonstrates our family's commitment to those who mean the most to us -- those who assisted in building Rocky Mountaineer into a tourism icon," said Peter Armstrong. “With Tristan as CEO, and (his sisters) Ashley and Chelsea serving on the Board of Directors, I am immensely proud to have the second generation leading Rocky Mountaineer forward." Rocky Mountaineer is recruiting for a president/COO to provide day-to-day operational oversight. It kicked off the 2022 season with luxury train journeys in the Southwest US. This year marks the first full operational season for Rocky Mountaineer’s newest route, Rockies to the Red Rocks between Denver, Colorado and Moab, Utah. It restarted on April 17, 2022. The ‘First Passage to the West’ Vancouver-Kamloops-Banff itinerary begins April 25, followed by Vancouver-Kamloops-Jasper the next day: The ‘Rainforest to Gold Rush’journey between Vancouver-Whistler-Quesnel-Jasper kicks off May 7: Rocky Mountaineer offers four train journeys that showcase some of the most spectacular scenery in North America: Since it was founded in 1990, Rocky Mountaineer has carried more than two million guests. -

The Colorado mountain town known for its hot springs and outdoor adventures will accommodate Rocky Mountaineer guests on an overnight stay during the Rockies to the Red Rocks two-day rail journey. Glenwood Springs has been served by a railroad since 1887. To celebrate the first arrival of Rocky Mountaineer passengers in Glenwood Springs, the community has scheduled a grand welcome. There will be a festival on 7th Street, adjacent to the historic train station including a brief welcome by local dignitaries, live music, dancing, food and art vendors with additional surprises in store. Festivities begin from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm, with the estimated arrival of the train and passengers at 5:00 pm. Rocky Mountaineer will launch the route with a preview season of 56 departures across 14 weeks from August 15 to November 19, 2021. Rocky Mountaineer has worked closely with staff of Visit Glenwood Springs, the city's destination marketing organization. "As a destination, we have been preparing to welcome guests of the Rockies to the Red Rocks route, and now invite the community and region to join us in the grand welcome celebration," said Director of Tourism Promotion, Lisa Langer. -
