Solmar Villas, which will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2024, has invested £1million in an exclusive partnership with Channel 4 as it looks to grow the business further. The campaign will launch on Boxing Day with ads set to be featured at peak viewing times during some of the channel's most popular shows such as Gogglebox, The Great Pottery Throwdown and The Last Leg. Sharon Bradbury, Solmar's sales and marketing director, said: "This is a huge investment by Solmar and by far the biggest TV campaign we have ever run.” "It forms part of a wider strategy and investment to establish Solmar as a household name in 2024. "The whole team is excited to see Solmar featured on national television and we've secured some terrific spots at prime viewing times.” "January is always our busiest month of the year with people planning their getaways." The company recently acquired more than 450 villas as a result of the closure of the James Villas brand. It is set to start the 2024 holiday season with more than 2,000 properties in its European and US portfolio. Villas on the Ionian coast, Kos, Ibiza and the Peloponnese have all been added as new destinations this year. Europe ...Read moreSolmar steps in to help James Villas customers - News & announcementsHolidaymakers hit by the sudden closure of James Villas have been given another lifeline. Europe and Florida specialist Solmar Villas is offering customers the chance to rebook their villa holidays. Family run Solmar has secured more than 200 of James Villas' cancelled properties across Europe. It expects this list to grow. It is offering customers the chance to rebook their villa holidays for the same dates. Earlier this week, James Villas' parent, Awaze, announced it would be shutting down its villa holidays' brand, putting 40 jobs at risk. Solmar has also vowed to do what it can to support the company's Kent-based staff. James Villas’ customers bookings after November have been cancelled and Solmar is acting quickly to help holidaymakers. Sharon Bradbury, MD of Solmar Villas said: "The announcement that James Villas is closing is extremely sad. The company has been part of the UK holiday industry for almost 40 years.” "We're delighted to be able to help some of those holidaymakers with their 2024 plans.” "We're able to give those customers hit by cancellations the opportunity to re-book through us on the same dates, keeping their travel plans intact." The company has set up a dedicated landing page on its website where customers can go directly to find their villa and start the rebooking process. Solmar Villas has more than 1,600 properties based all over Europe and has recently added Florida to its portfolio.
