Star Clippers will operate its largest ever Fam trip for the UK travel trade. The UK trade team has invited 15 travel agents aboard Star Flyer for an eight-night sailing from Malaga to Rome later this month. UK-wide travel agents from The Cruise Village, Miles Morgan Travel, The Travel Bureau, Deva Travel, IGLU, Glen Travel, Gates Travel, Peakes Travel and more will experience the Star Clippers service on an authentic tall-ship. The sailing will be divided in two parts, each giving agents a first-hand experience of sailing on the 166-capacity ship. Star Flyer will depart Malaga on 26 April before visiting Motril (Spain), Ibiza (Balearic Islands), Palma de Mallorca (Balearic Islands), Mahon (Balearic Islands) and Bonifacio (Corsica). The ship arrives in Rome on 4 May. The two groups will be hosted by Nicola Cox, Regional Sales Manager for the South, and Alison Jared, Regional Sales Manager for the North. “Providing travel agents with the opportunity to experience a Star Clippers sailing first-hand is the ultimate way to educate industry partners about our unique product,” said GM of Star Clippers UK, Fay McCormack. Star Clippers is represented in the UK by General Sales Agent Fred Olsen Travel. The line’s two smaller ships, Star Flyer and Star Clipper have a capacity for 166 guests each, while Royal Clipper carries 227 with a crew of 106.

Small ship cruise line Star Clippers is offering a new, immersive stay in Costa Rica. The new five-night pre-cruise stay in Punta Islita, Nicoya Peninsular is a result increased demand. The Nicoya region is one of only five Blue Zones. It has contracted Punta Islita Hotel, an eco-resort tucked in a hillside and rainforest. Guests can enjoy top class dining and a range of included activities such as art workshops, bird-watching and hiking. Guests then embark Star Clipper for a seven-night sailing from Puerto Caldera to Quepos, Golfito, Playa Panama, Bahia Potrero and Islas Tortugas. Star Clippers' Blue Zone experience 16-day packages are available on all Costa Rica sailings in winter 2023/24 and winter 2024/25.   Small ship line Star Clippers, has set up a dedicated WhatsApp channel for travel agents. They will receive weekly offers, news, updates and information on competitions. Within the group will be images that can easily be posted to social media from mobile devices, as well as offers. The chat will be one-way, with only group administrators capable of posting. Administrators include Nicola Cox, Regional Sales Manager for the South, and Alison Jared, Regional Sales Manager for the North. Travel agents simply need to scan a QR code to be added to the group. Star Clippers is represented in the UK by General Sales Agent Fred Olsen Travel. Star Clippers operates three of the  largest and tallest fully-crewed sailing vessels.

Star Clippers has become a new member of travel agent training specialists Bright. Specialist cruise line Star Clippers has announced a French Riviera and French Open package for 2023. This is the first time Star Clippers has offered an overseas tennis tournament experience. The 10-night package, which departs on 31 May 2023 offers a three-night pre-cruise stay at Paris' Plaza Tour Eiffel Hotel, followed by a seven-night Cannes roundtrip on board Star Clipper. Daytime session tickets on 1 June 2023 are included, as well as Pavilion Grandstand Hospitality, access to the private rooftop terrace, a Rolland-Garros gift and refreshments. Ports of call on board Star include Portoferraio (Elba), Alghero (Sardinia), Ajaccio (Corsica) and Monaco (France). Return flights are included. It comes after the phenomenal response to the Rome Ryder Cup package in September 2022 which was paired with an Amalfi Coast sailing.
