Israel’s most celebrated chef, Eyal Shani, makes Las Vegas Debut
Celebrated Chef Eyal Shani makes his mark on the Las Vegas Strip opening his two popular restaurants, HaSalon and Miznon, inside
The Venetian® Resort Las Vegas. Showcasing the riches of Mediterranean cuisine, HaSalon will open in early 2023, and Miznon will bring Israeli street-food favorites to the resort in late 2022. Originally from Tel Aviv, Chef Shani is often described as a founding father of modern Israeli cuisine.
“The Venetian Resort is a leader in the Las Vegas culinary landscape, and our restaurant collection is curated to deliver an unparalleled experience for our guests,” said Patrick Nichols, president and chief executive officer of The Venetian Resort. “The artistry and passion that Chef Shani is known for makes HaSalon and Miznon perfect additions as we continue to build the energy and spirit of The Venetian Resort.”
“I’m fascinated to bring HaSalon and Miznon to Las Vegas,” said Chef Eyal Shani. “People around the world are constantly dreaming of this destination and bringing incredible energy to the city and to The Venetian Resort. There's inspiration around every corner and being able to showcase the best of what we do in such a vibrant and unique location is an extraordinary opportunity.”
HaSalon
Since the hit dining sensation opened in Tel Aviv in 2008, HaSalon is now a global phenomenon with locations in Ibiza, New York, and Miami, and coming soon to Toronto, London, and Paris, and in 2023, Las Vegas. HaSalon features an interactive, open kitchen and delivers a feast for the palate and a spectacle for the eyes, celebrating the riches of the Mediterranean.
The menu focuses on fresh, seasonal ingredients and evolves nightly, filled with surprises and culinary delights. Although the menu is the focal point of the experience at HaSalon, the transformation of the dining room into a jubilant affair as the evening progresses makes the meal complete. HaSalon will open inside The Venetian Resort Las Vegas in 2023 and will be located just off The Palazzo casino floor.
“As we continue to expand the resort's restaurant collection, our goal is to provide more than just a well-known chef or a unique concept, and instead create an entire experience,” said Michael Gruber, chief content officer of The Venetian Resort. “Dinner at HaSalon goes beyond the meal. It creates a memorable celebration and energy that exists well past the incredible dinner, which is exactly what we're looking to deliver our guests.”
Miznon
Founded by Chef Eyal Shani and his partner Shahar Segal, Miznon has gained a cult-like following for its unique take on pita. Miznon at The Venetian Resort marks the concept’s sixth U.S. outpost, but the first on the West Coast.
The fast-casual restaurant uses fresh and seasonally inspired ingredients to create its menu of pitas. Menus across locations are similar, however, Shani creates unique items based on the flavors and experiences of each location that can’t be found anywhere else. Miznon will be located just off The Palazzo casino floor and will serve breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late-night offerings.
“HaSalon and Miznon in Las Vegas are simply legendary even before opening the doors,” said Mika Ziv, chief operating officer of Eyal Shani’s restaurants. “We are excited to see our amazing restaurants and partnership with The Venetian come to life in our biggest restaurant so far.”
Chef Eyal Shani
Chef Eyal Shani has established himself as the world’s leading proponent of contemporary Israeli cuisine. Born in Jerusalem in 1959, Shani’s culinary passion was first instilled in him by his grandfather, an agronomist, and a dedicated vegan, who exposed him to local markets, fields, and vineyards from a young age.
Since opening his fine dining restaurant HaSalon in Tel Aviv, Shani’s highly successful restaurant portfolio has expanded worldwide. He is the owner of 40 restaurants worldwide, a Master Chef judge, and a global ambassador for Israeli cuisine.
