The operator joins on 1 January 2025, taking TIPTO’s membership total to 24 suppliers in its 26th year. Exoticca aims to continue to build on its UK and Irish travel agent base following its first 12 months of targeting the trade. Utilising TIPTO’s face2face event format and online training opportunities, the tour operator intends to maintain its current agent presence whilst building new agent connections. Exoticca features private and small group tours, guided by local hosts, in over 60 destinations worldwide. The company was founded in 2013, offering travel agents instant online quotes, the guarantee of full price parity, and commission rates paid based on the total holiday price including flights and taxes. It also offers agent friendly rates to enable them to explore the product first hand. Exoticca hosts in-depth training sessions both in person and via webinar. Launching a big travel agent prize draw, Hurtigruten will be offering one Fam trip place at every single TIPTO Roadshow and SuperShow event from now until the end of TIPTO Year 26. All agents attending TIPTO events can enter to win a place on a seven-night Fam trip, experiencing one of Hurtigruten’s Original Astronomy Voyages first hand. It showcases the Arctic night sky on a voyage along the Norwegian coastline. Every agent attending a TIPTO event throughout 2024 and 2025 will be entered into the prize draw when they submit their completed quiz sheet on the evening. The winning name will be drawn at random live on the night. There is a total of 29 travel agent places up for grabs. Split into two groups, the winning agents will experience Hurtigruten’s coastal cruising product alongside an expert astronomer. Agents will enjoy a series of lectures and guided tours of the night sky on deck. It comes with a full board itinerary, and several excursions will also be added. New online training modules were released by Holiday Extras, Just Go & National Holidays, AmaWaterways and Hurtigruten. TIPTO is offering all UK and Irish travel agents and homeworkers the opportunity to win in its autumn incentive prize draw. The TIPTO travel agent training incentive incentive provides agents with the opportunity to bag a £100 restaurant voucher for a venue of their choice. Running until 30 November 2024, agents need to complete all available supplier training modules online at www.tipto.co.uk to enter. This includes the brand-new modules from AmaWaterways, Holiday Extras, Hurtigruten and Just Go & National Holidays. By completing all training modules agents will gain Gold Star status and will be automatically entered into the prize draw. Any travel agents who have previously held Gold Star status must complete the new modules to maintain Gold Star status and be in with a chance of winning. Travel agents can now book a place at one of six roadshow events, three training day events and TIPTO’s first SuperShow of Year 26 by visiting www.tipto.co.uk. At TIPTO events, agents can learn about new products and offers from supplier members, gain helpful industry insights, as well as receive handy tips on increasing sales. The events represent a great networking opportunity with drinks, a two-course dinner and the chance to win prizes. At roadshow events, agents can meet up to 12 of TIPTO’s supplier members via an interactive speed dating style set up. SuperShow enable agents to meet all 23 TIPTO suppliers via an exhibition format with stage show style entertainment including The Big TIPTO Quiz. Both events run from 6pm until 10pm and are free to attend for frontline selling travel agents, managers and homeworkers. The training events run from 9:30am until 2.30pm and offer classroom style learning with up to nine suppliers. Agents also enjoy a tasty brunch and refreshments. It will use the events to share key selling tips to boost agent bookings. As well as its comprehensive European programme, AmaWaterways features itineraries in Africa, Asia and South America. These include sailings on the Mekong, Chobe and Nile rivers with pre- and post-cruise land packages. In January 2025, AmaWaterways will become the first luxury river cruise line to sail Colombia’s Magdalena River.
