The Lone Star State continues to attract travelers every season of the year with its diverse landscapes, rich history and culture, culinary scene and superb wine region. The TEXAS TAPESTRY: CULTURE, CUISINE & COWBOYS tour takes you on a journey to four distinct Texas destinations within Central Texas– San Antonio, Bandera, Fredericksburg and Austin, each offering exclusive experiences that capture the essence of the state’s appeal. The TEXAS TAPESTRY: CULTURE, CUISINE & COWBOYS itinerary is bookable on ATI’s Drive America trusted booking tool with great live availability at attractive pricing for 2024. This package tour can be booked as a 13 nights / 14 days itinerary, or it can be customized to any travel needs in a few easy booking steps. Guests can fly roundtrip on Condor Airlines nonstop to San Antonio (3 times weekly from May 17 to September 6) and start their journey in the Culinary Capital of Texas, rich in history, culture, diversity and U.S. Southern hospitality. San Antonio is home of the only UNESCO World Heritage site in Texas with the San Antonio Missions National Historical Park and the Alamo, the symbol of the city. Culture and history don’t stop there. Travelers can explore the San Fernando Cathedral, the oldest continually operating cathedral in the United States, and Market Square, the largest Mexican Market outside of Mexico. Cruise the famous River Walk or take a self-guided experience on kayak. The memorable trip also will include additional San Antonio icons such as the numerous world-class museums on the Broadway Cultural Corridor, Pearl – a local favorite neighborhood with great restaurants and shops, and the King William Historic district – Texas’ historic German-settled, tree-lined Victorian home neighborhood. Guests will also be able to wonder at the Natural Bridge Caverns and explore incredible underground chambers filles with spectacular formations or jump on an African Safari at Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch. The Texas journey continues at Bandera, the Cowboy Capital of the World, a short hour away from San Antonio. Guests will be immersed in the cowboy culture by participating in a local rodeo experience, enjoy a wagon ride at Dixie Dude Ranch, visit the Bandera Natural History Museum and explore some hidden gems. The wild west experience is topped off with a traditional and hearty cowboy breakfast outdoors, and venturing into Bandera’s vibrant nightlife. After the authentic cowboy immersion, it is time to explore the Texas Hill Country in nearby Fredericksburg, home to over 100 wineries and vineyards. The wineries have been producing award-winning wines that have earned honors around the world for more than 40 years. The Texas Hill Country offers a chance to wake up with giraffes and rhinos at Longneck Manor, explore the largest wildflower farm and climb a 425-foot pink granite dome. For history buffs, visiting the Texas White House, home of Lyndon B Johnson, and the National Museum of Pacific War are must-sees. The final leg of the Texas journey will take travelers to Austin, the state capital, but also a place with unconventional wonders such as the sunset bat cruise, a tour of Austin’s eccentric homes, or a dive in the Barton Springs Pool, a unique spring-fed pool in the heart of Austin, maintaining a brisk 68°F (20°C) year-round. Guests will want to put on their dancing shoes for two-step western dancing at the White Horse Honky Tonk. Texas is a large state which charm lies in its diversity and the strong personality of its different cities, offering many different experiences. ATI partners with destinations to develop packaged tour products, combining an array of accommodations with attractive experiences to create the perfect holiday for visitors from all over the world for over forty years.
