Just in time for holiday travel, the only all-inclusive resort on the secluded island of San Salvador, Club Med Columbus, will officially reopen its doors on October 22, 2022.
Over the past two years, this all-inclusive resort has established new offerings ideal for couples, large groups, and multigenerational families alike, allowing them to disconnect and embrace vibrant Bahamian culture, holistic wellness experiences, authentic culinary concepts, and endless adventure.
Guests of this secluded Bahamian paradise, stretched along a white sand beach with colorful and newly refreshed two-story bungalows surrounded by lush palm groves, vibrant flora, and translucent turquoise waters, can expect:
- New Dining Concepts: La Pinta, the stylish beach lounge offering breathtaking water views and all-day dining, will introduce new Mediterranean-inspired cuisine with a Bahamian twist – serving fresh seafood, best paired with high-end spirits for an enhanced dining experience. Main restaurant Christopher’s is located in the heart of the resort and will offer a variety of international food options, including new plant-based menu items developed following an intensive training led by renowned vegan chef Chloe Coscarelli.
- Enhanced Wellness Experiences: Club Med’s new Wellness Fusion program combines a harmonious fusion of wellness experiences designed to harness ultimate peace of mind. New programming includes comprehensive yoga programs, moonlight massages, and four holistic treatments at the Club Med Spa by Sothys.
- Endless Adventure: The resort is a playground for watersport enthusiasts with included activities like sailing, waterskiing, and kayaking. Other activities include weekly beach sunset rituals, flyboarding, and tennis (on brand new courts!). Guests can also enjoy destination experiences like new quad tours, where they will be guided around the island to explore hidden beaches and caves, stopping along the way to dine and mingle with locals.
- New Scuba Experiences: San Salvador is known for its incredible 35+ dive sites, and the resort will offer a variety of new experiences for guests to experience this – like scuba dives at sunset and in the evening, private boat rides to dive in groups, courses to become PADI certified, and a new snorkeling experience in partnership with Only Blue Diving to view colorful coral and sea life.
