dnata Travel Group Schedules Record Number Of Travel Agent Fams
dnata Travel Group is underscoring its proud 45-year commitment to the UK travel trade by arranging 21 overseas fam trips between March and June 2023 for the Gold Medal, Cruise Plus, Pure Luxury and Incredible Journeys brands – the highest concentration of trips it has ever planned in any 16-week period. A further nine are in the planning stages to happen during the same period, with numerous others planned over the remainder of the year.
In total, over the course of just four months, more than 150 agents from across the UK will join 50 dnata Travel Group B2B staff from across its UK call centre, product, marketing and operations teams on visits specifically designed to help improve participants’ understanding of the destinations that are sold across the Gold Medal, Cruise Plus, Pure Luxury and Incredible Journeys brands, and the kind of holidays those brands can create. Working with partners which include AM Resorts, Visit Florida, One&Only, Arosa, Ponant, Qatar Tourism and Qatar Airways, the groups will visit Sri Lanka, Singapore, Bali, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, South Africa, Australia, New York, Las Vegas, Florida, Mexico, Alaska, Antarctica, Canada, Qatar, Oman, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, the Maldives and Mauritius.
The most popular fam incentive run during the last two years, which has attracted in excess of 600 entries to date, will see a group of 17 agents and Pure Luxury staff join members of the dnata Travel Group leadership team on a Pure Luxury VIP trip to Dubai to stay at the newly opened Atlantis The Royal next week. This will be the largest single group of travel agents from any market to visit the property since it opened.
Commenting, dnata Travel Group B2B’s Trade Partnership’s Director Karen Fletcher said: “Inviting agents to experience the product they sell to customers has always been a critical part of our strategy in building unrivalled relationships with the people who are most important to our success – agents. We believe it’s never been more important to get them out to touch, hear, taste and experience destinations so that they can take what they’ve learnt back to their shops and homes and be better equipped to sell.
“We’re proud to have incredible relationships with hundreds of valued industry partners, with whom we’re now working very closely to ensure that every trip is one to remember. It’s thanks to those relationships that we can do things no other operator can.”
Dnata Travel Group’s B2B Peaks fam trip incentives run until the end of February, so agents still have time to secure places. These include the chance to win one of 12 places on an ultra-luxury FAM trip in association with Qatar Airways and One&Only Resorts with Pure Luxury, and the chance to join a trip Down Under in association with Tourism Australia and Qantas.
Fletcher continued: “We’ve never had such a concentration of fam trips planned, and its testament to our commitment to agents and determination to ensure they’re able to sell with the confidence that only comes from experiencing a product or place first hand. We’re extremely grateful to our industry partners for their support in helping us to create this unrivalled programme of fam trips to showcase the scale and scope of the Gold Medal, Cruise Plus, Pure Luxury and Incredible Journeys product. Like them, we feel it’s the least those agents deserve.”
