First look at spectacular Christmas and New Year’s festivities with MSC Cruises
Today, MSC Cruises is announcing a lineup of Christmas festivities for the 2024 winter itineraries. This year, all of MSC Cruises ships, including MSC Preziosa, MSC Virtuosa and MSC World Europa will transform into floating winter wonderlands at sea, brimming with festive cheer and unique experiences designed to create unforgettable memories for passengers. This Christmas event will run throughout December.
Perfect for families seeking to start new Christmas traditions away from home, these Christmas sailings offer a stress-free holiday escape. Conveniently departing from Southampton, a festive cruise provides a wonderful alternative to the hustle and bustle of prepping the home for guests and searching for the perfect gifts. Instead, families can enjoy the ultimate gift – a magical Christmas at sea, exploring new sights and making lifelong memories.
In addition, on selected sailings aboard MSC Preziosa this winter, kids can sail for free, making it even easier for families to enjoy a memorable holiday together.
Here’s a first look at what’s happening on board MSC Cruises this Christmas:
MasterChef at sea – Christmas edition
Experience the world’s most famous cooking competition on MSC Cruises, where young chefs get the opportunity to showcase their talent, this time with a festive twist. Enjoy innovative dishes, gingerbread house competitions, and seasonal treats as our young culinary stars show off their culinary excellence!
Santa’s Extravaganza
Get ready for Santa’s Extravaganza, a special family event for MSC Cruises, perfect for all children and parents on board. Santa Claus himself will make a special appearance in the main theatre, bringing a gift for each child aged 0-11. As part of the celebration, enjoy Movie time with Santa, a special MSC Cruises original short movie dedicated to Santa’s arrival onboard, kicking off the family festivities in the theatre.
Creative Christmas workshops
Perfect for kids eager to express their creativity, MSC Cruises’ Christmas-themed arts and crafts sessions offer a variety of activities like T-shirt painting, bracelet making, gift wrapping, and crafting Christmas decorations and greeting cards.
Winter Wonderland comes aboard
Guests can immerse themselves in the magic of winter festivities with daily Christmas Winterland activities such as Christmas quizzes, Christmas carolling and a crowd favourite – karaoke. Step into a winter wonderland at sea with the snow cannon and ice-cool music, making this the most original Christmas event at sea.
O’ Holy Night
Celebrate a night of Christmas-filled festivities with an array of music, decorations, Santa hats, and traditional activities such as gift exchanges and tree lighting, creating an atmosphere filled with holiday cheer.
Sip and sail into the New Year
Ring in the new year with the spectacular New Year’s Eve party. Guests can enjoy themed costumes, stunning decorations, and a magnificent confetti cannon to mark the new beginning. What’s a New Year celebration without the grand countdown displayed on LED screens and domes, followed by the most important toast of the year!
