New options include first Tanzania tour, first dedicated Botswana tour, and luxurious South Africa safaris
Escorted tours specialist Newmarket Holidays has expanded its range of African safaris with its first tour in Tanzania, its first dedicated tour in Botswana, and two new luxurious South African tours.
Great Safaris of Tanzania & Zanzibar Beach is a 12-day small-group tour that provides an unbelievable safari experience in Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara, followed by a relaxing beach break, in a combination that no other group specialist offers. The itinerary visits one of the world’s most important prehistoric sites at Olduvai Gorge, known as the Cradle of Mankind, heads into the heart of the giant Ngorongoro Crater, and includes a variety of game drives to spot the fabled ‘Big Five’. The final four days are spent relaxing on Zanzibar’s east coast, where a luxury spa, swimming pool and white sand beaches become the focus of the break. The package includes full board safari and all-inclusive beach accommodation, plus return flights and guided tours, with departures starting in April 2025.
On Safari in Botswana – Chobe National Park is Newmarket Holidays’ first dedicated tour in the country and provides another small-group itinerary that is unique to the operator. Guided throughout, the 10 day tour is outstanding value and takes advantage of Botswana’s remarkable wilderness and wildlife, with morning and afternoon game drives, a double-decker boat cruise along the Chobe River, and a variety of optional activities that include guided fishing, a photography boat cruise, a visit to a Namibian village, and a trip to Kazungula Bridge, the only place in the world where the corners of four nations – Zambia, Zimbabwe, Namibia, and Botswana – come together. The base for this tour is Chobe Safari Lodge, which has been recently refurbished and overlooks the river of the same name. The package features half board accommodation, return flights and guided tours, with departures starting in November 2024.
On Safari in South Africa – Luxury Safari Plains is a 10-day safari adventure based in the Mabula Game Reserve in the malaria-free Waterberg Biosphere, home to the ‘Big Five’ and an incredibly diverse cast of animals, birds and plants. Additional activities include sundowners, star gazing and a bush walk, with the five-star Safari Plains camp offering a luxury spa and outdoor pool. The package includes all-inclusive accommodation, return flights, game drives and tours, with departures starting in April 2025.
On Safari in South Africa – Luxury Safari Plains with Mauritius is a 15-day holiday that offers five-star comfort for guests as they search for the Big Five.
