Riviera Travel has revealed it will add two new ships to its fleet next year.
The 178-guest Riviera Radiance and 114-guest Riviera Rose – launching in March and April, respectively – will feature several firsts for the river cruise line, including bearing the Riviera name on their bows.
Riviera Radiance will have three full decks plus a sun deck in operation.
The ship will feature three dining venues, including a new restaurant called Mosaic, offering a selection of bite-sized delicacies inspired by the rivers of Europe. Guests will be able to choose from the Market menu – comprising meat and fish dishes – or the vegetarian and vegan-focused Garden menu.
Elsewhere, a split-level lounge and dining room will provide more space for guests.
The Grand Suites, at 32sqm, are the largest ever offered by the operator, and will feature a separate lounge area and balcony with seating. Other facilities include a swimming pool, spa, wellness area and the Riverview Kitchen, complete with an open kitchen.
Radiance is also Riviera’s first ship that qualifies for the Gold Standard in the Green Awards programme for shipping, which sets out independently verified standards in safety and environmental performance.
Riviera Rose will offer 57 cabins across three decks, including four Balcony Suites with outside seating. The standard cabins will also feature French balconies with sliding doors and an indoor seating area.
Other facilities include a restaurant, bar and lounge, as well as a fitness room and sun deck with a swimming pool.
More information regarding itineraries will be revealed shortly.
Phil Hullah, Chief Executive of Riviera Travel, said: “The introduction of these beautiful ships marks a key chapter in the Riviera story, as we proudly showcase our name on the bow of the vessels and accelerate our growth plans. Our fleet enhancement plans are particularly pertinent, as we celebrate our 40th anniversary next month.
“Both Riviera Radiance and Riviera Rose will deliver an exceptional guest experience, with new public spaces, dining experiences, and our largest-ever suites on Radiance. We are confident that guests will love the new additions and cannot wait for them to join us onboard.”
Riviera Radiance and Riviera Rose will be available to book from 29 February.
