Ryanair, Europe’s no. 1 airline today (11 Nov) revealed the top destinations that UK passengers are travelling to this Christmas. Ryanair will operate almost 50,000 flights across its industry leading network of 235+ destinations throughout the festive season, bringing passengers home to see family and friends in time for Christmas.
Poland: Poland is proving a popular Christmas 2024 destination among UK passengers with many Polish diaspora returning to see family/friends as well as UK passengers flocking to explore Poland’s renowned Christmas market offering and charming ski resorts.
Spain: Spain is always a popular Christmas destination among UK passengers seeking to swap white snow for white sand beaches, and this year is no different with many UK passengers opting for the popular southern city of Malaga. Malaga is the perfect Winter sun destination with its aptly named Sun Coast, historic monuments, botanical gardens, and Mediterranean cuisine.
Ireland: It’s no surprise that Ireland made the list, with many UK passengers travelling the short trip over the Irish sea to visit family and friends during the festive holiday season. With regular Ryanair flights from the UK to all 5 Irish airports – Cork, Dublin, Kerry, Knock and Shannon – Ireland offers convenience as well as plenty of Christmas cheer.
