Those with a penchant for musical theatre will be spoilt for choice over the next twelve months as Sydney plays host to an array of productions; from innovative Off-Broadway hits making their Southern Hemisphere debut to world renowned Tony Award®-winning shows, there’s something for everyone.

Setting sail from September 2024, Titanique is the cult musical sensation that has all of New York scrambling for a ticket to take their seat on the ship of dreams.

When the music of Celine Dion makes sweet Canadian love with the eleven-time Oscar® winning blockbuster film Titantic, you get this award-winning splash hit, which turns of the greatest love stories of all time into a hysterical musical fantasia.

The Australian cast of Titanique includes cabaret legend Marney McQueen as Celine Dion, Drew Weston will play the dreamer Jack Dawson opposite Georgina Hopson as the sweet ingenue Rose Dewitt Bukater, while Australian stage and screen darling Matt Lee plays Victor Garber and newcomer Abu Kebe features as The Iceberg.

Titanique will play a limited season, exclusive to Sydney at the Grand Electric. Looking ahead to 2025, Michael Jackson’s unique and unparalleled artistry is also heading to Sydney in the multiple Tony Award®-winning new musical, MJ.

Centred around the making of his 1992 Dangerous World Tour, MJ goes beyond the singular moves and signature sound of the star, offering a rare look at the creative mind and collaborative spirit that catapulted Jackson into legendary status.

Created by Tony Award®-winning Director/Choreographer Christopher Wheeldon and two-time Pulitzer Prize winner Lynn Nottage, MJ will arrive at the Sydney Lyric Theatre in February 2025.

Taking place on arguably the most beautiful stage in the world in March and April next year, Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour will play host to Guys & Dolls, transporting audiences to 1950’s Manhattan, a colourful and glamorous world filled with showgirls and gangsters, set against Sydney’s glittering skyline.

Guys & Dolls first premiered on Broadway in 1950, followed by a 1955 film adaptation starring Frank Sinatra and Marlon Brando and most recently had a smash hit revival on the West End. The musical is filled to the brim with toe-tapping tunes, high-energy, vibrant dance numbers, and plenty of laughs.

Finally, the Mormons are back in Sydney! The Book of Mormon, dubbed by the New York Times as “the best musical of this century” the Tony® Olivier® and Grammy® award-winning production will return to Sydney at the Capitol Theatre from July 2025.

This outrageous musical comedy follows the misadventures of a mismatched pair of missionaries, sent on a mission to a place that’s about as far from Salt Lake City as you can get. Since its world premiere in 2011, this production has truly become an international sensation.

Tickets for Titanique and The Book of Mormon are all on sale now, with waitlist access currently available for Guys and Dolls and MJ The Musical.
