Thai National Parks Resume New Normal Operations, Some Remain Closed

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) would like to provide the latest update that 139 of 155 national parks nationwide are now reopen to visitors, while 16 parks remain closed.  This is in line with the latest COVID-19 control measures in the respective provinces, following the Royal Thai Government’s announcement on easing of the COVID-19 control measures in most areas nationwide as of 1 February, 2021.

Of the 139 national parks that have resumed operations, 21 are operating with some closed attractions and activities; such as, waterfalls, water activities, or camping as follows:

CENTRAL REGION (1)  
Phetchabun – Khao Kho National Park
EASTERN REGION (2)  
Rayong – Khao Chamao-Khao Wong National Park &
Khao Laem Ya-Mu Ko Samet National Park
NORTHEASTERN REGION (1)  
Nakhon Ratchasima – Khao Yai National Park
NORTHERN REGION (6)
Chiang Mai – Doi Wiang Pha National Park &
Doi Pha Hom Pok National Park
Kamphaeng Phet – Mae Wong National Park
Phitsanulok – Namtok Chat Trakan National Park &
Phu Hin Rong Kla National Park
Uttaradit – Phu Soi Dao National Park
SOUTHERN REGION (4)
Ranong – Namtok Ngao National Park &
Lam Nam Kra Buri National Park
Surat Thani – Than Sadet-Ko Phangan National Park
Krabi – Hat Noppharat Thara – Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park
WESTERN REGION (7)
Kanchanaburi – Khao Laem National Park &
Chaloem Rattanakosin National Park
Phetchaburi – Kaeng Krachan National Park
Prachuap Khiri Khan – Hat Wanakon National Park
Ratchaburi – Chaloem Phra Kiat Thai Prachan National Park
Tak – Doi Soi Malai National Park &

The following 16 national parks remain closed until further notice.
