On behalf of each Qatar Airways ticket booked, Wilderness Safaris will plant 40 indigenous saplings at its luxurious Bisate Lodge in north-western Rwanda, enough to restore 100m2 of former agricultural land in Volcanoes National Park’s critical buffer zone. By sourcing trees from the Bisate nursery and hiring local residents to plant them during the correct planting season, Wilderness Safaris continues to positively impact the lives of its neighbours. To date, the partnership has generated bookings that have resulted to over 1000 trees that will be planted during the next planting season.
“Since the inception of our partnership in 2021, Wilderness Safaris and Qatar Airways have provided spacious sanctuaries to our guests – in-flight and on the ground – ensuring that travel can be a force for good to support the protection of the world’s most precious wild area”, notes Amanda Wilson – Wilderness Safaris Vice President, Partnerships. Qatar Airways Vice President Sales for the Americas – Craig Tomas adds that, “Qatar Airways is proud to extend our partnership with Wilderness Safaris and continue providing the best service for our travellers, allowing them to have once-in-a-lifetime experiences while serving the planet. We look forward to welcoming even more travellers to join us aboard Qatar Airways and on the ground at the Wilderness camps in the coming months.” The Qatar Airways flight discount promotion code – WSQR0001 – can only be used on the www.QatarAirways.com booking engine.
