The Mallorca Tourism Foundation in partnership with the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) is delighted to invite you to the Sustainable Destinations Summit in Mallorca.
After the success of the first edition, the Mallorca Tourism Foundation – part of the Consell de Mallorca -, the Sustainable Tourism Observatory and the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) are hosting the second edition of the Sustainable Destinations Summit between the 30 and 31 of March in Palma where leaders of tourism transformation will share their knowledge and reflect on environmentally friendly practices and their insights to achieve a successful transformation of the tourism sector.
A large group of international experts of the highest level will debate different themes through round tables discussions that will reflect on multiple and innovative perspectives such as indigenous, external or financial, as well as key destinations for sustainable and regenerative development; pre-competitive cooperation for sustainable actions; the implementation of circularity measures; certain data on nature for management; governance models that enhance sustainability; and several actions that can drive to the transformation.
The forum will feature round tables, talks and interviews with important figures from different fields linked to tourism and sustainability, including the Spanish astronaut, Pedro Duque and representatives of the main international tourism companies such as Gloria Fluxà, Vice-President and Sustainability Director of Iberostar; Sabina Fluxá Thienemann, Vice-President and Managing Director of Iberostar Group; and Carmen Riu Güell, Managing Director of RIU Hotels & Resorts.
Participation is free and those interested can attend either in person or virtually.
