Amadeus River Cruises’ Launches 2025 Programme Featuring Two New Excursion Categories

Amadeus River Cruises has launched its 2025 European programme featuring 19 itineraries in 13 countries on ten luxury river ships. The 2025 itineraries, which are on sale now, range from five to 16 days and include two brand new excursion categories – AMADEUS Active and AMADEUS Taste.

The AMADEUS Active excursions feature a variety of activities for travellers with different interests and a range of energy and fitness levels. From action-packed experiences and interactive discoveries to traditional sightseeing, guests can tailor a trip to suit their interests and pace. Example excursions include:

• Cycle tour in Vienna along the famous Danube Cycle Path
• Hiking to the Pöstlingberg in Linz
• Landshut castle ruins and vineyards in Bernkastel: an active tour to one of the oldest castle ruins in Germany and through the idyllic vineyards

In addition to these new excursions, active guests can enjoy yoga in the morning on the sun deck, free bike rental and fitness room.

The AMADEUS Taste excursions are delicious and interactive experience which include visits to wineries and markets with tastings of local wine and delicacies. Example excursions include:

• Visit to the Winzer Krems winery
• Tasting of typical Moselle wines in a local winery
• Rüdesheim wine tasting & Drosselgasse
• Halles de Lyon Paul Bocuse
• Grignan with truffle farm and tasting
• Veere with tasting of Dutch specialties
• An Authentic Taste of Budapest
• Wineyard Raca and the Carpathian wine region

These excursions are complemented by exceptional onboard dining and an impressive selection of local wines.

The 2025 programme features cruises on Europe’s most beautiful and renowned waterways: on the waterways of Belgium and Holland, past the Rhine’s picturesque vineyard scenery, along the Rhine-Main canal, in the steps of French Savoir-Vivre on the Rhône, Saône and Seine, and through the charming landscapes adjoining the Danube all the way to the Black Sea.

Prices for the 2025 programme start from £626 per person for the four-night Magic of Advent on the Rhine sailing between Cologne and Strasbourg on 11^th December.

To celebrate the launch of the new programme, Amadeus River Cruises is offering a 15% early booking discount on all 2025 itineraries booked before 30^th November 2024.

In addition, travel agents have the chance to cruise for free with Amadeus thanks to its brand new ‘Book 5, Cruise Free’ incentive. All agents need to do is to make five new 2024 or 2025 Amadeus bookings before 31^st December 2024 to earn a seven-night European cruise for two sharing, departing in 2025 or 2026. The cruise is in an upgraded B1 stateroom with drop-down panoramic window and walk-in wardrobe.
