Introducing Eurail

Eurail B.V. is the company managing the Eurail and Interrail Passes (for non-European and European residents respectively). From its offices in Utrecht, The Netherlands, Eurail provides unparalleled access to European trains and ferries. With one Rail Pass, travelers can reach 30,000+ destinations in 33 different countries in Europe.

With more than 680,000 travelers per year and the help of our 35+ rail and ferry partners, we empower travelers to explore all that Europe has to offer.

Digitalizing an iconic European product

Established in 1959, the Eurail Pass intended to offer non-European citizens a grand tour experience of Europe. Thirteen years later, in 1972, the Interrail Pass was created for the European youth, promoting friendship and a more profound understanding of their continent.

As a result of the shift to a digital-first strategy, in 2013, Eurail launched the Rail Planner App, enabling travelers to search train timetables and make seat reservations. Eurail officially launched the mobile version of both passes in 2020. The digital versions of the passes were adopted quickly by our customers. Today, more than 95% of Eurail travelers explore Europe with a mobile pass.

Digital solutions that add value to the customer journey

As part of our digital-first strategy, Eurail implemented simple and easy-to-use tools that enable the seamless distribution of our products. With these solutions, our distributors can quickly grow and diversify their portfolio of products and customer base.

API

Eurail’s API is a web-based sales process that allows distributors to create their own customer journey. With full and easy integration into the distributor’s portal, the API allows partners to customize the touchpoints and manage their bookings according to their needs.

Eurail Ticketing System (ETS)

The perfect sales and distribution solution for medium or small travel agencies and retailers. It features fully integrated sales and aftersales scripts for immediate use and remains available 24/7. Our ETS lets you issue Eurail and Interrail Passes on the spot.

Access to a booming market

Train travel is a booming European industry, and our traveler numbers reflect that. North America represents 17% of our customer base, and this number is only bested by Europe itself. As investment into European rail and the number of rail passengers continue to increase, become a Eurail partner to gain almost instant access to the market and grow your operations.

Why travelers are choosing a Eurail Pass

Eurail offers a unique travel experience by providing travelers with an easy way to explore the everchanging landscape and cultures of Europe, enabling them to immerse themselves in each destination truly.

Especially young travelers, who make up 38.6% of our customers, continue to focus on experiencing the world meaningfully and sustainably.

Hop on, start your Eurail journey

With a fast and seamless onboarding process to our distribution solutions, working with Eurail will help diversify your business portfolio by offering a unique European rail experience. Create a new revenue stream to enable growth via high-value transactions on Rail Pass sales.
