Around 200 tourists had to be rescued from stranded cable cars at a ski resort in the Italian Dolomites.
Strong winds blew a tree over the cables, bringing the Ciampinoi cable car, in the Val Gardena resort, to a halt.
The skiers were suspended in mid-air in strong winds for several hours before mountain rescue teams were lowered by helicopter to take them to safety.
They evacuated the skiers from around 20 cabins using ropes.
There were no serious injuries.
