Ryanair passenger numbers grew 18% in 2008 over 2007, according to its latest figures.
The airline carried 4.4 million passengers in December, an 11% increase over December 2007.
August was Ryanair’s busiest month with over 5.7million passengers flying with the airline.
In order to encourage more passengers to fly with it, Ryanair has launched one million £5 seats, available for booking on its website until Sunday midnight, for travel in January, February and March.
