5G rollout delayed
Verizon and AT&T Inc finally agreed to delay deployment of C-Band wireless 5G for two weeks. 5G C-Band can potentially interfere with air navigation equipment, which would have, likely disrupted flights starting this week.
The telecoms firms faced pressure from the White House and airlines to delay.
"We know aviation safety and 5G can co-exist and we are confident further collaboration and technical assessment will allay any issues," AT&T said.
The FAA will use ‘the additional time and space to reduce flight disruptions associated with this 5G deployment."
