6th annual ResExpo trade show heads to Hyatt Regency, Tampa
The sixth annual ResExpo trade show/conference heads to Hyatt Regency Tampa, March 11-12; more than 35 exhibitors expected.
TAMPA: ResExpo 2003, the industry’s longest running travel technology trade show and conference for buyers, sellers and users of travel distribution technology, comes here March 11-12. ResExpo is in its sixth year of successfully bringing together distribution executives and technology companies from around the world for two full days of product demonstrations, conference seminars and networking opportunities.
More than 35 exhibitors will pack the exhibit hall, including such industry leaders as Accovia, Discovery Travel Systems, Intracom, Micros, Pegasus, Proteus, Softvoyage, Synxis, OAG Interactive and Worldspan. Attendees will be able to check out the latest products for every segment of the travel industry, from airlines to hotels, tour operators, cruise lines and more.
“Whether your need is a fare and pricing system, a booking engine, an ASP service or a yield management tool, you are sure to find the best solutions at ResExpo,” said Vickie Singer, president of Travel Technology Source, the producer of ResExpo.
ResExpo has been the leading venue for seminars, solutions, and hands-on demonstrations of travel distribution technology for the past six years. This year’s program features intriguing discussions on the issues facing today’s distribution executives: the growing importance of timeshare distribution; the rise of dynamic packaging; the future of Web fares in the airline industry; the controversy over the merchant model in the hotel business; the future of leisure distribution; and the impact technology is having on leveling the playing field for low-cost carriers and major airlines.
Keynote speakers include Vela McClam-Mitchell, Vice President Worldwide Travel Supplier Services for Worldspan, and Brian Robb, Chief of Staff for leisure packaging giant Mark Travel Group. William Brown, Assistant Vice President, E-Commerce for Interval International and Bob Offutt, Senior Vice President at Sabre, will also be making feature presentations.
Leaders and innovators from every supplier segment, as well as technology developers, will address the most pressing and compelling issues facing travel distribution. More than 40 speakers will share their insights, including: Tim Claydon, Vice President Marketing/Distribution, JetBlue Airways; Peter Giamalva, President, RCI Holiday Network; Joe Humphry, CEO of Travelweb; Tim Reiz, CEO of Pass Consulting; Claude Guay, President and CEO, Accovia; Edie Bornstein, VP Sales & Business Development, Cunard Line & Seabourn Cruises; Hillary Bressler, President, .com Marketing Inc.; Bill Brunger, VP of Distribution Planning and Revenue Management Support – Continental Airlines; Jeff Glueck, Vice President of Packaging, Travelocity; and Stan Sprenger, CEO/President, Resort Res Network/Intrawest.
