American Airlines has appointed an executive from the cruise industry to head its UK sales division.
Leslie Peden is currently sales director UK and Ireland for Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises. He will take over as UK sales director at AA from the end of October.
Mr Peden will report to managing director European sales and marketing, Matthew Hall, and will head up sales strategy for AA in the UK.
He takes up the role that Mr Hall vacated following a promotion in February. Mr Peden will be based in Hounslow.
Prior to working in the cruise industry, Mr Peden spent 12 years working in sales within the airline industry in both the UK and US, including a spell with Virgin Atlantic.
Royal Caribbean is in the process of recruiting a new sales director.
