The AAA projects over 39 million Americans will travel during this month’s Memorial Day Weekend. Citing Memorial Day numbers as a good omen for summer travel, Paula Twidale, senior president of AAA Travel says ‘summer travel isn’t just heating up, it will be on fire.’
AAA advises travelers to plan and book vacations early. They should also book car rentals as soon as possible. It also said staff shortages may lead to airlines having to cancel some flights during the holidays.
