Aboriginal tourism highlighted in roadshow
A two-week ‘Indigenous Experience’ roadshow highlighting Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander tourism experiences in Australia kicks off this week.
The roadshow is the first of its kind for Tourism Australia and starts in London on Thursday (February 22) before travelling to Milan, Paris, Utrecht, finishing in Berlin on March 9.
A delegation of 15 Indigenous tourism operators will run a series of trade and media workshops led by Aden Ridgeway, executive chair of Indigenous Tourism Australia.
Australia House in London will be the venue for appointments followed by a consumer event with celebrity Australian chef Mark Olive and the Nunukul Yuggera dance troupe providing entertainment.
The roadshow has been timed around tourism trade events including BIT in Milan this week and ITB in Berlin on March 7-11.
