ABTA claims 60% of Convention delegates are top level
ABTA is claiming that 60% of delegates who have registered for the Travel Convention are management level and above.
Of the 600 delegates signed up so far, it says 32% are at chief executive, owner, managing director or director level, while 28% are either heads of pepartments or other managers.
“The Convention in Tenerife is already shaping up to be the essential event of the travel industry calendar, with high calibre delegates all attending because they know it will be good for their business,” said Mark Tanzer, ABTA chief executive.
ABTA has also reminded members that accommodation at this year’s Convention is the cheapest since 2002.
“Five-star accommodation starts at £34 a night, which means that together with registration, prices can start for as little as £412,” it said.
“In 2003 the combined cost was £514, and in 2006 it was £535.”
The event takes place on November 28-30.
