Despite it being perhaps the worst kept secret in the history of ABTA’s Travel Convention, there was definitely a ripple of excitement in the audience when ABTA confirmed Tokyo as the host destination for 2019.
Members and suppliers seem keen to go long haul and there’s been a big take-up for pre-registration.
But, among TravelMole readers, the response to the news has been a bit mixed.

The results: 54% said ‘yes’ but 46% of you said ‘no’.
