Accor develops agent online booking service
Accor Hotels has launched an online booking service dedicated to travel agents called Pro Services Area.
On the group’s website, www.accorhotels.com, the new section enables agents to book hotels with automatic guaranteed commissions and track commissions.
It also tells agents how to access Accor hotels on the global distribution systems, provides news from the group and details of all its brands, which include Sofitel, Novotel, Mercure, Suitehotel and Ibis.
Agents can book online special rates for personal trips offering up to 75% off public rates with the Accor Travel Agents Rates (ATAR) programme, and can win prizes, including Apple Ipod Nano’s, through quiz-based games.
A monthly newsletter and an online e-learning tool will be added later this year.
To access this new area, agents need to enter their IATA/TIDS code or their Accor RT code.
