Accor is expanding its footprint in Vietnam with the signing of three new hotels with owner partner, Novaland.

It will see the opening of the 248-room Mövenpick Phan Thiet and 250-room Novotel Phan Thiet within NovaWorld Phan Thiet, as well as Mövenpick Ho Tram, a 209-room hotel located at Wonderland – NovaWorld Ho Tram, a complex under development by Novaland.

The NovaWorld Phan Thiet complex is currently under development and is located about an hour and 40 minutes’ drive from Ho Chi Minh City.

The 1,000 hectare project is set on 7 km of Tien Thanh coastline and will include a theme park, a waterpark, a 16-hectare ocean park with a marina, 36-hole golf course, and a 7,000-seat events stadium.

There will also be a 3,500-seat tennis court, a shopping centre, food courts, a hospitality school, and over 20 resorts managed by international operators such as Accor.

The NovaWorld Ho Tram complex is a 90-minute drive from Ho Chi Minh City.  The 1,000-hectare complex features a combination of mountains and beaches.

Novotel Phan Thiet will have two restaurants, meeting facilities, wellness facilities including a gym, spa, swimming pool and a kids club.

The signing of the three hotels is part of Accor’s strategic development plan to expand into emerging destinations.

Accor will manage a further seven properties in the newly developed complexes by Novaland in Binh Thuan, Ba Ria Vung Tau and Ho Chi Minh City.

"As a strategic partner of Novaland, we are proud to be part of these remarkable projects. Following on from the launch of Mercure Vung Tau and ibis Styles Vung Tau last year, we are extremely pleased to further develop our partnership with Novaland," Garth Simmons, Chief Executive Officer, Accor Southeast Asia, Japan and South Korea.

"We look forward to leveraging our global distribution capabilities and extensive experience to successfully introduce the Novotel and Mövenpick brands to NovaWorld Phan Thiet and NovaWorld Ho Tram.
