Accor expanding in Vietnam with new Movenpick, Novotel hotels
Accor is expanding its footprint in Vietnam with the signing of three new hotels with owner partner, Novaland.
It will see the opening of the 248-room Mövenpick Phan Thiet and 250-room Novotel Phan Thiet within NovaWorld Phan Thiet, as well as Mövenpick Ho Tram, a 209-room hotel located at Wonderland – NovaWorld Ho Tram, a complex under development by Novaland.
The NovaWorld Phan Thiet complex is currently under development and is located about an hour and 40 minutes’ drive from Ho Chi Minh City.
The 1,000 hectare project is set on 7 km of Tien Thanh coastline and will include a theme park, a waterpark, a 16-hectare ocean park with a marina, 36-hole golf course, and a 7,000-seat events stadium.
There will also be a 3,500-seat tennis court, a shopping centre, food courts, a hospitality school, and over 20 resorts managed by international operators such as Accor.
The NovaWorld Ho Tram complex is a 90-minute drive from Ho Chi Minh City. The 1,000-hectare complex features a combination of mountains and beaches.
Mövenpick Phan Thiet will feature two restaurants, an executive lounge, and wellness facilities including a swimming pool, fitness centre with a yoga studio and a spa.
Mövenpick Ho Tram will feature an all-day dining restaurant, an executive lounge, meeting facilities with a ballroom, meeting rooms and other wellness facilities such as a spa, gym, swimming pool and a kids club.
The Mövenpick collection offers contemporary city and resort hotels worldwide. Noted for its Swiss heritage, Mövenpick has a 70-year-old rich culinary legacy while blending modern design.
Novotel Phan Thiet will have two restaurants, meeting facilities, wellness facilities including a gym, spa, swimming pool and a kids club.
The signing of the three hotels is part of Accor’s strategic development plan to expand into emerging destinations.
Accor will manage a further seven properties in the newly developed complexes by Novaland in Binh Thuan, Ba Ria Vung Tau and Ho Chi Minh City.

Novotel Phan Thiet will join a collection of over 540 hotels globally across 62 countries, while Mövenpick Phan Thiet and Mövenpick Ho Tram add to 100 Mövenpick locations around the world.
Accor has also added to its collection of MGallery hotels with the recent opening of Ocean Spring Resort Chengdu – the first international premium hotel to open in the area.
