AccorHotels has announced plans to open three new hotels in Myanmar.

The France based hospitality giant has partnered with LP Holding to develop two hotels in Mandalay and a third in Yangon.

The hotels – Mercure Mandalay Hill Resort, Mandalay Hill Resort MGallery by Sofitel and Pullman Yangon Centrepoint – are slated to open by 2020.

"We are very pleased to partner with LP Holding with the development of these three new properties in Myanmar. The three hotels are situated in strategic locations in Yangon and Mandalay, for tourists and business guests alike," said, AccorHotels, upper southeast and northeast Asia COO, Patrick Basset.

Mercure Mandalay Hill Resort will feature 206 rooms with views of Mandalay Hill and the Irrawaddy River.

It will have three restaurants and two bars.

Mandalay Hill Resort, MGallery by Sofitel will have 150 rooms and villas, a restaurant and bar, while the urban Pullman Yangon Centrepoint is the largest development with 300 rooms housed in Centrepoint Towers, one of the city’s tallest buildings.

"These three hotels will give travellers additional hotel choices with the growing tourism in the country particularly in Mandalay, as the city continues to develop," said LP Holding Co director, Lertsak Nopburanand.
